Meet Beets Juice Bar, Bergen County’s Newest Place to Get Your Juice Fix

Restaurants  /

If you made a New Year’s vow to cut out the junk food and get on the juicing train, welcome to the club—us too! So, now what? Buy one of those fancy, hard-to-clean juicers and then hit the grocery store every other day to pick up fresh fruits and veggies (and then pray you’ve bought enough). Um, no thanks. We say head to Beets Juice Bar in Park Ridge, NJ.

Whether you’re a juicing junkie or an organic nectar newbie, you’ll want to check out this brand-new juice joint in Park Ridge. We popped in recently to drink it all in and were impressed by their extensive menu of elevated elixirs, delicious smoothies, and all kinds of other healthy offerings.

First off, this place is hopping. Like line out the door hopping. But don’t let that deter you—the line moved fast! (Hint: Use that time to figure out which delicious drink you’re going to order from Beets’ extensive menu). We ordered three in all ($7 for a 16 oz.; $8 for a 20oz.): the Paleo Power smoothie (banana, peanut butter, chocolate protein, cocoa nibs, and coconut milk), the Green Machine juice (apple, celery, cucumber, seasonal greens, and lemon), and the Berry A-Peeling smoothie (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and coconut milk). Have a food allergy or just not feeling one of the ingredients? Feel free to modify it! Plus, you can boost any order with extra add-ons (50 cents to $1 each).

If you’d rather sup than sip, Beets also offers a variety of healthy bowls for $10 each. We sampled the Acai Dream (granola topped with organic acai, berries, bananas, coconut milk, and honey) and the Buddha Bowl (granola with banana, kale, pineapple, and chia seeds). Both were insanely good—the perfect meals on the go!

The thirst is REAL here folks!
