Skip the supermarket this spring and summer. There are a variety of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs around Bergen County, where you'll subscribe to a weekly supply of locally grown produce, including fruits and vegetables, plus meat shares depending on what you opt into. So what makes CSAs different than heading to the produce aisle of grocery stores? The produce you receive is picked the same day you pick it up, meaning you get it at the height of its nutrition without wasteful packaging. It's a no-brainer way to make sure you're eating more fresh foods and skipping the overly processed (or moldy) stuff.
If you're not sure where to look, we've got you covered. Check out these CSA programs in and around Bergen County, and sign up for your share today. Then, we wait for spring and summer.
Abma's Farm CSA has provided its members with the freshest seasonal crops every year, and new for 2025, the popular Bergen County farm is offering CSA meat shares that give you access to ethically-raised meat, including beef, pork, and chicken.
