Believe it or not, it’s still summer somewhere in the world. If it can’t be New Jersey, at least you can eat like it is with a visit to the latest Jack’s Lobster Shack location, this one in Cresskill, where summertime seafood favorites—and lobster rolls!—are always in season.
Taking over the old Cresskill Pizza space, husband and wife owners Jack and Aline Tabibian have once again, as they did with their Edgewater and Ridgewood locations, transformed it into what feels like an authentic New England lobster joint—complete with nautical décor and that signature recycled-lobster-crate ceiling.
This shack’s menu is virtually identical to the one at the original Edgewood location, so favorites like The Lobster Bomb (8 ounces of real Maine lobster meat in a bread bowl) and Jack’s famous Truffle Lobster Mac & Cheese (do we need to explain?)—are all here.
Also here, of course, are those aforementioned lobster rolls ($17-$35). Whether you like yours Maine style—served cold with mayo on a lightly toasted, buttered roll—or Connecticut style—served warm with butter and lemon on a grilled top-spilt bun—Jack’s has got you covered. And at this new location, he’s upped the ante with the Metro style lobster roll, which is served cold with a tarragon mayo!
We’re not kidding when we say biting into one is like being transported to those endless summer days. Yum.
