If you spent your summer happily working out in the great outdoors—whether it was tennis at the park, a run on the beach or a weekend bike ride—well, your alfresco exercise days are numbered. The good news is that Bergen County’s fitness scene seems to be growing every day. Here are four hot new spots to help you get in shape for the holiday season. Oh yeah, that’s coming too...
Impact Zone
If you get sick of the same-old workout easily, you’ll have to come up with a new excuse here. This 40,000-square-foot facility offers tons of group classes, from yoga to P90X to Impact Zone’s signature Strike-Zone class, a blend of strength training, cardio and mixed martial arts, so you can literally take a different class every day of the week. If you’d rather go solo, there’s plenty of state-of-the-art equipment along with Spivi (a virtual ride spinning program) and tons more, like one of our fave features: the almighty smoothie bar.
Impact Zone, 335 Chestnut Street, Norwood, 201.775.1025
CycleBar
We’ve told you about CycleBar before—its classes are a super-fun, high-energy cross between Soul Cycle and Fly Wheel with a DJ booth pumping out music, bikes equipped with LED lighting and tiered-seating, stadium-like studio. And then there are the luxe locker rooms. If you have yet to check out the other Bergen County locations, you’ll want to head over to the new Montvale outpost that’ll be giving away 2,500 free rides in anticipation of its opening.
CycleBar, 28 Farm View, Montvale, 201-285-5247
Real Hot Yoga
There’s a reason hot yoga is so, you know, hot. In addition to the plethora of benefits that yoga is known for, amping up the temp to a toasty 95 degrees makes you seriously sweat, giving your body a delightful detox during your workout. Real Hot’s newest studio in Ridgewood offers both hot power yoga, which increases heart rate and burns calories, as well as hot tone and sculpt yoga, which adds isometric ballet moves to the postures to take your toning to the next level. EXCLUSIVE OFFER: $35 for 30 days unlimited using the code "BERGENMAMA" good through 10/12/17, click link below to register.

Crunch Select
Ethos fans who miss that gym’s convenient location next to CVS in the Midland Park Shopping Center will be psyched to learn that a new Crunch Select is opening where Ethos used to be. Crunch Select is a new tier of the national chain that was created specifically for this location, meaning it will feature higher-end amenities like spa-like locker rooms, a juice bar and spray tanning, in additional to “Ride” Studio Spinning and huge slew of other group fitness classes. The gym is under construction now and expected to open in late November.
