Three Fun Bergen County Events for You and Your Squad

Fashion  /

Having a carefree evening out with our girlfriends isn’t just something we want to do, it’s something we need to do occasionally to reconnect with our BFFs in the middle of our overscheduled lives to keep our sanity intact. But planning the big GNO can take time, something we’re consistently short on (see above). Never fear. We’ve got three Bergen County Events with ready-made girls’ night out itineraries you can totally steal. Have fun ... and remember to stop checking your phone!

Closter Plaza Palooza

May 17-18

The two-day event is touting non-stop shopping, eating and beautifying (sounds pretty good to us) at our fave new retail center, Closer Plaza. You and your gal pals can stroll the shops, taking advantage special discounts, freebies, giveaways and food. And make sure to stop by luxe wax and eyelash studio Supreen to register and for a chance to win one of three giveaway packages. It’s a daytime event that will wrap up around 7pm, which leaves you the rest of the evening free to get dinner at Bareburger, hover around the bonfire at Whole Foods Closter with a Matcha in hand, or grab a bite and some wine while catching a fun flick (Have you seen “I Feel Pretty” yet?)  at the state-of-the-art CMX Theater.

Fort Lee Fashion Week

May 7-12

A chic and sophisticated Fashion Week comes to our own Bergen County backyard this week and we can’t wait. While there are plenty of fun events on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoon – from yoga to classes on wardrobe organizing to brunch (you can check out the schedule here) – you and your besties are going to want to clear your calendars for the evening of Saturday, May 12, when Hudson Lights will be hosting a women and men’s runway fashion show, pop-up shops, and a champagne-laced after party at the gorgeous Gayeon restaurant. Done, done and done.

Piermont Girls Night Out

May 10

A girls’ night out for a good cause! The walkabout evening (which runs from 5pm to 10pm) is meant to promote Breast Health Awareness and you’ll be able to mingle with Robbi Kempner, MD, breast surgeon and medical director of The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack as well as Dr. Ruba F. Rizqualla, DDS who will be hosting a Q&A and raffling off a Zoom Whitening treatment. The lovely little hamlet in Rockland County will keep its shops, restaurants, and galleries open late so you can pop in to get a little retail therapy along with plenty of treats and surprises (don’t forget to stop by Bergen Mama’s table for your free *very soft* exclusive tee).
