The Nature Place Day Camp for Kids in Bergen County NJ (dedicated)

Camps  /

Instead of soccer and basketball, think hiking and farming. Instead of winning or losing, think group challenges that teach communication, inclusivity and critical thinking. If you’re looking for a day camp that emphasizes outdoor activities and a hands-on approach to teamwork and leadership, get ready to feast your eyes on The Nature Place, which offers a unique day camp opportunity for kids ages 4 – 16.

Get-back-to-nature programming includes camping, gardening, wild foods, drama in the woods, music that plays with and interacts with the natural environment, storytelling that is inspired by local geography and ecology, and hands-on animal explorations with chinchillas, foxes, snakes, hedgehogs, cows, sheep, chickens, and horses.

Fully accredited by the American Camp Association and gearing up for its 32nd summer, The Nature Place consists of 200 acres of organic gardens and a farm, woods, fields and streams, and a beautiful indoor facility. The outdoor swimming facility pool is surrounded by trees and lush foliage.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience that will give kids a new respect for their environment, a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, and a healthy foundation for living a healthy, meaningful life.

Bus transportation is offered to and from a variety of convenient locations in Bergen, Westchester and New York, and extended hours and sibling discounts are available. Day Camps run from July 3 – August 11, and Farm and Garden Days (a smaller program for kids ages 6 – 12) runs from August 14 – 25.
