Whether your kids are eager to design wearable electronics, film and produce original short films or documentaries, or work on computer programming or robotics, workshops that hone 21st century thinking and tackle real-world problems are where their minds will click into place this year.
Lucky for us, Summer Explorations at the Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood offers all of the above – and more – for children ages 3 through grade 9 as part of their Technology and Maker Space Lab. Kids get immersed in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) programs, and the hands-on nature of the workshops and small class size (10 – 12 kids max) makes for an incredibly enriching experience.
Summer Explorations STEAM programs include engineering, maker design for 3D printing, laser cutting and vinyl cutting, game design, documentary filmmaking, computer programming, math and robotics. Additional low-tech summer workshops are available as well, include reading/literature, sports, arts, theater, science, cooking, woodworking, fashion design and more. Campers also have access to the school’s 14-acre wooded campus, playgrounds, playing fields, and science and computer labs, which pretty much guarantees that your kids will be ready to blast off this summer.
Half-day and full-day camp sessions are held June 27 - August 12 and registration is currently underway. Visit Summer Explorations or call (201) 568-5688 x7333 to schedule a tour and learn more.
