Wait, is it April already? And between Spring themes, Passover and Easter, we know it's about to go down at the dinner table. So we tapped our go-to-party-gals Wile Events for their best table decor inspo, prepare to get inspired!
2017 is all about the greens! When Pantone released their color of the year as Greenery, we were thrilled as there is nothing more fresh or vibrant than greenery in all of its glory. So now we are incorporating that theme into all of our Spring tabletop decor- perfect for Passover or Easter.
EASTER (Blue egg motif, with green garland)
Inspired by this, we chose to highlight greenery in all of its simple, natural splendor for our Easter tablescape this year. While our love for flowers runs deep, sometimes it’s nice to create a grounded earthy effect without much fuss. We created green garland out of seasonal greens and draped them gently down the center. We accented it with pops of white, silver and glass to keep it fresh, but grounded the look with some deep navy to keep it from becoming too saccharin. When most people think of Easter, they think of softer pastel inspired color palettes and while we love the beauty of soft muted colors, we also love to play with color in unexpected ways to keep our designs looking fresh and inspired. We chose the navy for this purpose so that the greenery could truly be the star.
The woven wicker placemats are a nod to a commonly used texture this time of year, especially for Easter, as children race around collecting hidden eggs in their Sunday bests, baskets in tow. We created paper mache eggs and painted them deep navy and utilized them with simple seating assignments to round out the theme.
The ticking stripe runner felt familiar and comfortable as it’s just chic enough to feel dressed up without overpowering our natural, relaxed aesthetic.
This table would be perfect for a gorgeous brunch with family and friends, highlighting the best of the season from the garden.
PASSOVER (Pink floral table)
When most people are thinking about their holiday tables this time of year, bright, beautiful, spring shades most certainly come to mind. We took inspiration from the tradition of Passover celebrating freedom and wanted our table to feel lively and bright.
To that end, we wanted to highlight some of the most stunning blooms from the garden to convey the season being in full bloom and to give a nod to a rich culture and feelings of being surrounded by love.
We started with a soft pink palette and incorporated some brighter pops of peach and coral to evoke the vibrancy of spring. We used garden roses, ranunculus and lilac to highlight the best flowers of the season and arranged them in a pretty and elegant glass compote.
For the place settings, we used simple white dishes rimmed in silver, on top of beaded glass chargers and accented it with a soft grey linen napkin. Then we created simple place cards that we hand wrote in a soft brush lettering style and utilized pretty rose gold glass votives to pull everything together.
This table would be perfect for a beautiful Seder surrounded by loved ones.
