The rich and colorful flavors of Brazil are making their way to the Palisades Center in West Nyack at Picanha Brazilian Steakhouse, opening January 8th. Picanha, the juicy tender cut of beef that a delicacy in Brazil -- but tough to find around here -- will be plentiful at its namesake spot, along with a number of authentic Brazilian dishes that are guaranteed to make your mouth water. Before getting to the juicy part of the menu, Picanha provides the option of starting off at the gourmet salad bar, which combines colorful and fresh seafood and vegetables, along with exotic fruits and fresh cheeses. The buffet can be enjoyed alone or paired with your main course selection of sumptuous meats.
And now to the meat of the menu, Picanha offers a number of meat options served or expertly carved tableside by gauchos. In addition to Brazilian staple Picanha -- the prime part of the top sirloin -- meats on the menu include Filet Mignon, Beef Ancho (ribeye), Costela de Porco (pork ribs), Cordeiro (leg of lamb), bacon-wrapped chicken or steak, and Brazilian Pork Sausage, among others.
Pair your meal with one of their delish cocktails, such as the Brazilian concoction Batida de Coco or Brazil's national cocktail, Caipirinha, which is made with cachaça, muddled limes and sugar, and mixed with passion fruit, strawberry or pineapple. Enjoy at the table or sit at the bar/lounge area and sip during your adult night out. Be sure to top it off with a delicious dessert, such as Brazilian traditional treat Papay Cream, which mixes fresh papaya with vanilla ice cream, or their fresh-baked chocolate molten cake.
