If there's one thing we love about Jersey, it's the abundance of malls to shop. But while you may be itching to stock up on new a spring wardrobe for yourself and the kids, there are even more reasons to hit up the these shopping centers — for their entertainment value. And now, we're ready to share two more ways to get the most out of your mall experience. Hapik climbing gym at American Dream and Dopamine Land at Westfield Garden State Plaza are newly opened must-visit spots that will make your kids beg for another trip.
As if American Dream wasn't jam-packed enough with entertainment spots (think: Legoland, Angry Birds golf, Nickelodeon Universe, and more), it just welcomed another to its long list of family-friendly place. Hapik climbing gym's more than 10,000 square foot space is filled to the max with 150 routes across 50 climbing walls where kids can engage in climbing challenges, plus two aerial ropes courses with swinging bridges and zip lines. Scale themed walls for all ability levels, and for kids under 4 feet tall, there's a multi-level soft play area where they can safely stay active. And don't worry, Hapik highly encourages adults to get in on the action, too.
Dopamine Land, Westfield Garden State Plaza
Step into a multisensory world with media, technology, and play — opening March 15. As you walk through the highly interactive museum, you'll find vibrant installations including the Sunset Lagoon with a pool of clear balls, the Chromadance with light-up tiles that make magical music, the Cushion Clash with a good ol' fashioned pillow fight, Scribblescape with paper-covered walls where you can leave your mark, and so much more. While it takes about 45 minutes to make your way through the rooms, all ages can hang out for as long as they'd like.
