Can we officially crown Erin Cacciabaudo the Queen of Convenience?
After launching her wildly popular catering business, The Catch-y Caterer, in 2004, the Ho-Ho-Kus entrepreneur and mother of four came up with the royally awesome Mom’s Night Out operation, offering local moms a reprieve from kitchen duty one night a week with fully prepared family meals to go.
Now, Cacciabaudo is expanding her empire even further with the opening of Catchy, a full-service sit-down café. Clean and simply decorated with pops of color provided by metal green chairs, this place is set to reign supreme with on-the-go types searching for a delicious dining experience without all the fuss.
Everything on Catchy’s menu is made to order fresh daily, including fan favorites like Southwestern Quinoa with Black Beans & Roasted Corn ($12.95), Blackened Shrimp Cobb Salad ($13.95), soups like Italian Wedding Soup with mini Chicken Sausage Meatballs & Parsnip Cauliflower, and kid-friendly panko-crusted Buffalo Chicken Fingers with Homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing ($9.95).
On our recent visit, we picked up three soups that warmed our soul: Tomato Bisque, Split Pea, and Apple Rutabaga. Each one was absolutely delicious and tasted clean and healthy, especially the Apple Rutabaga. I’ve never tried anything like it, but I’ll definitely be going back for more.
Catchy also features a fully stocked takeout case, so you can stop in any time to grab a family dinner on the go. Plus, kids are encouraged to stop by after school to snack until their moms pick them—and hopefully dinner—up at 5pm.
If that’s not an idea worth bowing down to, we don’t know what is!
