We always love a good collab (12.12 Concert for Sandy, Neimans +Target Gift List; Beiber/Minaj awesomeness) so when we heard about Joanne Ricci and Raymond Barach teaming up to open a new restaurant—Raymond’s in Ridgewood—we hit it early. See our write up here.

Events Not to Miss:

What: Little Elf’s Workshop at Enamor Me
Why:  Much beloved Cutie Patooties hosts a holiday event featuring make your own Tutus with Tutubell and gingerbread men (cheer), Scribble Art goodie bags (more cheer) and photos by Karan Bhagat Photography (even more cheer). 
When: Saturday, December 15th from 10:30 to 12:30, $12.50 per child

What: Santa Visits the Bergen County Zoo
Why:  Santa Claus is coming to town and his first stop is Van Saun Zoo!  Visit the zoo and take pictures with Old St. Nick.
When: Sunday, December 16th, 12pm to 3:30pm, free with admission!
Where: Van Saun Park Zoo , 216 Forest Avenue, Paramus

What: Kids Movie Event for Sandy
Why:  Every “Elf” Knows, its all about giving, right?  Grab the kiddos and head over to the Tenafly Movie Theatre for a cause. 
When:  Saturday, December 15th, 10am, $10 donation includes popcorn and drink, 100% of proceeds to Sandy Victims
Where: Clearview Tenafly Cinema, 4 1/2 Railroad Ave., Tenafly

What: Colonial Afternoons at Fort Lee Historical Park
Why:  A live history lesson: think musket and cooking demos, plus soap making and music. 
When: 12pm to 4pm, Saturdays and Sundays in December (weather and staff permitting), FREE!  Call to confirm: 201 461-1776
Where: Fort Lee Historic Park, at the top of the Palisades with its entrance on Hudson Terrace. 

What: Restore The Shore Zumbathon
Why: Shake it for a cause, 90 minutes of pure cardio put to great choreography with Zin Instructors Gina Minks Toddings and Christie CJ Bilin.  Color theme is red, black or white (wear one or wear all)- guest instructors and dj!
When: Monday, December, 17th, 7:30 to 9pm, $20 at the door, all proceeds go to Waves4Water.org.

If you’re heading outside of Bergen…...

What: The Holiday Lights Spectacular at Turtle Back Zoo
Why: Experience Turtle Back Zoo in the winter as 100,000 bulbs and 40 lit displays illuminate the zoo this holiday season!
When: Saturday, December 15th, 5 to 9pm, FREE!
