We always love a good collab (12.12 Concert for Sandy, Neimans +Target Gift List; Beiber/Minaj awesomeness) so when we heard about Joanne Ricci and Raymond Barach teaming up to open a new restaurant, —Raymond’s in Ridgewood, NJ—we hit it early.
The second outpost of the eponymous eatery (the first in Montclair) is French-bistro-inspired, warm, and freshly designed (same designers who were responsible for the Keith McNally restaurants)—and totally delish.
Order up fresh versions of casual fare that are nothing short of delectable. American style options are made with locally sourced ingredients: Eggs and chicken from a nearby farm in Sussex County, maple syrup hailing from Vermont, and their very own brew of coffee from Red House Roasters in Union County. Raise a fork to French Toast paired with roasted pineapple, a to-die-for calamari salad, house-made biscuits or a warm bowl of veggie chili with sour cream and cheddar. We eyed, but didn’t try, the Huevos Rancheros and the Migas, because, well, we can’t help jonesing for a good Mexican breakfast.
Right now only serving breakfast and lunch (including all day brunch items), the dynamic duo at Raymond’s plans to start serving up dinner in the New Year.
Cheers!
