Okay first, cross your fingers and your toes. Then, squeeze your eyes tight, say nice things into the Universe, click your heels three times and make your wish that Kidcaboo, a Driving Nanny Service currently operating in Maplewood and surrounding towns, will come to Bergen County soon. Like yesterday.
Kidcaboo is the service we all either wish had had when our kids were young, or wish we had right now. And those of us whose kids are old enough not to need it anymore are super jealous that you all with littles now are going to get to have it. Just think, no more worrying about which parent has to leave work early to get home for soccer pick up. No more concern that traffic is going to make you late. No more guilt about your kid being the last to be picked up. Nope. And especially, no more wondering how you are going to be in two places at the same time because one kid needs to be dropped off at swimming at the same time as the other has their trombone lesson two towns over. Now, you can hire a heavily vetted, trusted nanny to drive your kids wherever they need to go.
Kidcaboo is available on a one-off basis or you can set up a schedule for any pick-ups you need. There is also an option for carpooling if there are other kids in your area who are going to the same place your kid is. Plus, and this is big, Kidcaboo offers interim babysitting in case you need to span the short time between when your kids’ activities end and you can get home to them. Or, the time between school pick up and when activities start. Really, your options are endless and, do you feel that knot loosening in your shoulders as we speak? Wait, and did we mention they’ll be rolling out an app soon? An app that can monitor the nanny’s driving and also track your child via GPS? Yeah, so they’ve thought of that too.
