Feels like the last day of school was just yesterday, doesn’t it? But now it’s August and we’re sliding fast into the first day of school. So, it’s time to finish (or start) those math packets, pull out the summer reading books from wherever they’ve been gathering dust, and make plans to attend the Back to School Give Back event, to be held at Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York on Saturday, August 10 th from 1 PM – 4 PM.
During the Back to School Give Back event, Palisade Center, in partnership with Bronx Visionary, will host a full day of fun, music, and valuable services for kids and families on Level One next to H&M.
This community-focused event will feature music and live performances from local artists and entertainers, and meet and greets with favorite and beloved children’s characters, sponsored by Bouncy House Magic.
Then once you’ve bribed (erm, we mean entertained) your kids, get some of the practical items off your to-do list with free child ID finger printing, sponsored by New York Life, and free haircuts so your kids can look their best for their first day of school (and school photos!).
Best of all, Bronx Visionary will distribute FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to registered students. Parents and guardians can register their child for a FREE backpack by emailing [email protected]. Backpacks will not be guaranteed for each registrant. Bronx Visionary will email a formal confirmation to each student who will be a lucky recipient of a backpack. Parents or guardians must attend the Back to School Give Back event on August 10 th with their registered child in order to receive their backpack and school supplies.
