9 Pool Clubs You’ll Want to Park Yourself at this Summer

Ah, summertime at the pool: cannonballs off the high dive, splashing the cute boys from the fast lane, and juicy gossip at the snack bar. And that’s just you and your friends! Relive your carefree childhood pool days and create lifelong memories for your family by joining one of our many amazing swim clubs in Bergen County and beyond.

Stonybrook Swim Club (183 Cedar Lane, Hillsdale):

Spread out over 12 acres, this popular swim spot offers three pools: A larger 6 lane heated pool which features a 14’ figure 8 slide, as well as intermediate and kiddie pools open to younger swimmers. Kids can get lessons or join the swim and dive teams and new this summer is their Swim Camp. For out-of-the-pool fun grab something from the snack bar and sit in the picnic grove, then try a yoga, aerobic or Pilates class. Ramsey Municipal Pool (75 East Oak Street)

Kids and adults alike will enjoy their water-park style slides and in-pool seating. The new area for tots has a zero depth entry and fun spraying features. Grab a bite at the snack stand or grill in the back pavilion and come back for Fab Fridays which include swimming after dark (the pool closes at 10pm) and live music. Beach volleyball, basketball and two playgrounds are included in the fun. (Ramsey Municipal Pool, 201-327-1947, Family Rate $475 for residents, $900 for non-residents)

Tallman Beach & Pool Club (Rockland Road, Sparkill, NY)

The setting and food are the draws at this newly remodeled club set in Tallman Mountain State Park. After swimming in their full size pool, or splashing in the kiddie pool, which includes fun water features for little ones, members can relax and enjoy sun bathing on the beach with views of the Hudson River just beyond the property. Parent/child swim classes (9 months to 3 years) are also offered in the evenings and lunch and dinner are served at their gourmet NoCo Beach Grill. Saddle River Valley Swim and Tennis Club (750 East Saddle River Road, Monsey, NY)

Located just outside of Upper Saddle River, this family mainstay sits on almost 8 acres and offers a large heated main pool with two diving boards as well as a kiddie pool with a shower spray and playground. Lounge chairs are spread throughout the grass surrounding the pool and the Poolside Café offers snacks and meals. Water and sand volleyball nets are available for games and six tennis courts on the property are there for members and their Summer Tennis Camp attendees.(Saddle River Valley Swim and Tennis Club, (845) 356-9010, Family rate is $975)

Oradell Swim Club (East Ridgewood Avenue)

No less than four pools, including a kiddie and lap pool, flank this property’s landscaped grounds. Their swim team is open to kids age 5 to 17 and swim lessons, for all ages start at ‘Introduction to Water Skills’ and move up to ‘Fitness Swimmer’ offerings. Past family fun events have included Pizza and (ice cream) Float nights as well as a 4th of July BBQ.  (Oradell Swim Club, (201) - 262 – 8461, Family Rate $963, caregiver is $165.50 extra)

Graydon Pool (259 N. Maple Ave, Ridgewood)

If you’re a beach-lover but not a take-a-3-hour-ride-in-traffic lover then you should consider parking yourself on the easy access Graydon Pool shores this summer. The all-natural, dammed Ho-ho-kus Brook is made for beachy summertime fun, complete with sand and floating rafts (perfect for jumping) and a kiddie pool for the littles. New Milford Swim Club (Trotta Drive)

Off of River Road, close to the Borough Hall, this pool club features a heated main pool, lap and kiddie pools all nestled in a nicely wooded setting. Spanning over 14 acres, there are lounge chairs on the lawn by the pool for reading and relaxing. Look for family activities such as Family Fun Fridays, $5 Fridays for guests, evening yoga and ice cream nights. Their New Milford Marlins Swim team kids are local league champs.  (New Milford Swim Club, Family Rate $877)

Alpine Swim & Racquet Club (1 Hilltop Lane)

Members enjoy an Olympic size heated pool with a beach-style easy entrance on their 10-acre scenic facility. Enjoy a meal from the snack bar on the terrace. Two tennis courts are also on this bucolic property. (Alpine Swim & Racquet Club, 201-767-6465, rates available on request)

Washington Township Recreation & Swim Club (Ridgewood Boulevard East)

With both an Olympic size heated pool and a fenced in kiddie pool nearby, this six acre club boasts a clubhouse that can be rented for parties, a snack bar with pizza and grilled food, a shaded picnic area and a terrace for eating. Splish Splash nights are open to kids over age 7, and movie nights and craft days are offered to all.
