We’ll admit that we often reward ourselves with shopping, but rewarding ourselves for shopping? Well that’s a new one ... and a new one that sounds pretty good to us.
Yep, our friends over at shopping, dining, and entertainment Mecca the Westfield Garden State Plaza are now enabling customers to earn credit towards future purchases through a program called Westfield Rewards. Here’s how it works: You’ll get one point for each dollar spent using any credit card that you’ve registered with the program. Once you hit 1,000 points (which, honestly, can come rather quickly as we’ve learned firsthand), you’ll get a $25 credit toward a future purchase made at the shopping center that’s good for six months. That’s 25 bucks for spending money you’d be spending anyway. So yeah, it’s a serious win-win.
Rewards go right to your phone, so no lugging around a membership card or anything. You also receive $10 just for signing up, an extra 500 points on your birthday, and become eligible for extra exclusive perks and invitation-only access to activities and events at the mall.
