Tweens and Teens Get Fit at Jumping Frog Studios (Dedicated Email)

Activities  /

In a perfect world your tween’s downtime would be spent reading, practicing her (fill in the blank: piano, dance routine, serves), and getting a jump on her studies.

In her perfect world, she’s getting her Gangnam style on: i-chatting, downloading music and trolling Instagram for the perfect skinny jeans.

Your compromise:  let her focus on something that strengthens her core and confidence (and is cool enough to text her besties about), Pilates.

Jumping Frog Pilates in Tenafly is now offering exclusive classes for tweens and teens – and because Pilates is their specialty, adolescents get the all-star instruction they deserve.  On Thursday & Friday November 8th & 9th, Jumping Frog is hosting a Two-Day Mini Health Camp from 1 – 4pm each day (sign up for 1 or 2 days, $60 per day or $100 for both days) which includes:

• A one-hour cardio/fitness class with Alex White, Dwight Englewood Athletic Hall of Famer & Division 1 Athlete
• A one-hour Pilates class (working balance, body awareness and core conditioning) with owners/directors of Jumping Frog Studios.
• A one-hour nutrition class (making healthy snacks and discussing benefits of certain foods) with Tori Hoehn, Staff Health Counselor and Expert on Nutrition for Kids
• A raffle for a mani/pedi (one lucky winner is selected each day).

As part of their ongoing program, Jumping Frog offers regular Tween Pilates Classes Monday-Thursday from 4-4:50 for youth ages 9-13.  These sessions help introduce kids to body awareness, balance, core conditioning and posture – all things we want our girls (and boys) to know, you know?  Pilates for Athletes is another regular session to consider for all the cross-training needs in your family- perfect for those looking to get a leg up on the competition in their favorite sport.

So get a jump on it and sign your resident “girl on fire” up now.
