Got any plans for the summer yet? Want some? Because the new Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark has started taking reservations for summer visits and you’ve got to go! Starting on June 1st, they will be welcoming guests to enjoy the largest indoor waterpark in New York state along with a spa, a ropes course, rock climbing, mini arcade, mini bowling, Virtual Reality, laser tag and more.
Located in the Catskills in Monticello, NY, a mere 90 minutes from Bergen County, the Kartrite started with the dream of becoming a top-notch, stylish, family-friendly hotel, adventure center and waterpark. With 324 suite rooms in 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom configurations plus bunk room options, the Kartrite has room for you to make this an epic family vacation.
And sure the waterpark is going to be AWESOME with the signature Nor’Easter, a 48 ft. long slide with rafts that will literally send you soaring, the Jiggerty-Jaggerty, a 42 ft. long racing slide, and the Krakken, whose name speaks for itself. But the Kartrite doesn’t want to just be a getaway for kids. They want parents to have just as much fun so they’ve reached out to their neighbors at the Resorts World Casino to give parents a little adult time after they’ve spent the day splashing around with their kids.
After a night out parents will be refreshed and ready to tackle everything else the Kartrite has to offer (um, they have something called a S’mores Experience and will have a full schedule of daily events) or to venture out to explore more of what the Catskills have to offer, including Bethel Woods, home of Woodstock and both a Monster Golf Course and Legoland which are each slated to open in 2020.
But what about the food? This is another place the Kartrite is looking to differentiate themselves. The resort will offer the requisite buffet, sweets shop and quick service restaurants, but if you want to take it up a notch, head to Bixby’s Derby (check out the light fixtures!), Bixby’s Tavern & Taproom or, Harvey’s Wallbanger for a cocktail at the end of a long day.
