The Grocery Goods: Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market Open in Bergen County, NJ

Catering  /

The supermarket news sweeping Bergen County? Not one, but two new places to stock up on all the goods. Amazon Fresh, the new and innovative grocery store in Paramus (replacing Fairway) opened last week, while Whole Foods Market opens in Woodcliff Lake on July 27th, near Tice's Corner. Whether you're looking for your kitchen basics or fully prepared meal options, these new spots have you covered.

Amazon Fresh

From the online retailer we couldn't do without, comes the in-person version of their delivery service, which opened July 21st. If you're someone who likes to roam the aisles or is more of a visual shopper (i.e. you remember you need something when you see it), Amazon Fresh offers the options to shop for your kitchen staples and more in a convenient, tech-friendly way – for those who want that option. While the standard checkout line method is still available, shoppers who prefer the digital option can scan in through the Amazon Fresh app and shop with ease. Cameras placed throughout the store detect your purchases so when you're ready to leave, you can simply scan again and head to your car! Amazon Fresh offers the standard grocery items plus a seating area and hot/cold food bar.

Keep an eye out for a second Amazon Fresh spot in Bergen with an opening TBD, located in the Memorial Drive district in Lodi.
