Sleepaway Camp | The Maine Difference (Dedicated)

Camps  /

Believe it or not it’s time to start thinking about sleepaway camp. Overwhelmed by your choices but know you want your kid to unplug from their tech devices, connect with nature, make new friends, enjoy great activities and camp traditions, and have fun? Then start here. The Maine Camp Experience is a community of over 30 premier overnight Maine camps for ages 7 – 17.

Use the Maine Camp Experience website to research the sleepaway camps that best meet your child’s needs and answer a few questions on the Maine Camp Experience Select-A-Camp tool to help narrow your choices. Or contact the Maine Camp Experience's Campcierge™ to get any information relating to Maine including camps, where to stay and even what to do when you are in Maine touring and visiting.

But why send your kid to one of the camps in the Maine Camp Experience (MCE) community? Members of the MCE community represent some of the oldest, most established overnight coed, all boys and all girls camps in the country and you will have the flexibility to choose a session duration that meets your needs (anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks). MCE camps host campers from all over the US and from more than 30 countries, giving your child the chance to meet and get to know people from regions other than their own. Best of all, MCE sleepaway camps have strong camp traditions that emphasize values and help kids build their skills in areas like resilience, confidence, independence, cooperation and empathy.

Plus, you can’t beat the location. All MCE camps are situated on beautiful lakes and provide daily waterfront activities. Campers have access to the Mount Katahdin, Mount Washington, Acadia National Park, all among the most beautiful and breath-taking locations in the country. Maine’s temperate summer climate, crystal clear lakes, and incredible natural beauty make Maine the ideal destination for camp. Best of all, parents and families get to take advantage of all that “Vacationland” has to offer when they come for tours and Visiting Day.
