Sixty5 on Main Restaurant in Nyack, NY

Start the car, we know a whoopee spot

Where the drinks are cold, and the dining’s hot

The dining room is huge, and it’s real close

Bum-bum

And all that Jazz!

Move over, Chicago. Our pick for the jazziest new dining joint—literally—in Nyack’s red-hot dining scene is Sixty 5 On Main. Featuring well-known and local Jazz bands and a menu full of internationally inspired dishes, this place definitely won’t leave you singing the blues.

And we’re not talking about jellyrolls. Chef Moshe Grundman, formerly of Michelin-star winning restaurant Oceana, has created a multi-ethnic share plate menu—think raw oysters, fluke ceviche, fish tacos, Chinese chicken, beef short ribs, seasonal salads, and more, all made using super-fresh, local ingredients—designed to offer guests the chance to experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout their meals.

We recently stopped by for Sixty5’s rollicking launch party and were blown away by what they’ve done to the old Baumgart’s space. Interior designer Dawn Hershko has created a trio of truly stunning rooms, each with its own unique vibe. The Library Room, perfect for private events, sits at the entrance of the restaurant. Then there’s the dark and moody Cave Room, a cozy place to spend an evening with rounds of craft cocktails or fine wine and close friends.

But it’s the Main Room—with its large, well lit bar area, rollicking main stage, and abundance of antique dining tables—where the real action is. Sixty5 will feature well known and local Jazz and Blues bands.

This place is a “Jazz hot” time, for sure!
