Shop Fresh at a Local Farmer’s Market in Bergen County

Weekly Events  /

Perhaps you need help planning your family's weekly meals. Or, you'd prefer skipping the supermarket produce aisle and shop straight from the farm instead. Better yet, maybe you just need somewhere to bring the kids after school while grabbing some goods for yourself. Whatever the reason for visiting a farmer's market may be, there are plenty of local options to choose from around Bergen County, each with their own offerings ranging from produce and baked goods to easy dinner ideas and pieces from local artisans. Here are some farmer's markets around Bergen County to check out this spring and summer.

Ramsey Farmers Market This year-round market often brings in the crowds with its wide-ranging vendors plus special events that happen during the summer and fall season. Look for a variety of goodies to fill your home with from Anita's Guacamole, Meredith's Bakery, Pie Eyed Bar Pies, OM Champagne Tea, and Valley Shepherd Creamery to name a few. Come back each week for new surprises. Open Sundays 9 am-2 pm

Stock your produce drawer with fresh homegrown fruits and vegetables; dig into their kitchen specials such as quiches (courtesy of Abma’s chickens) and buddha bowls; and be sure to snag one of their fresh baked desserts such as cheesecake and strawberry rhubarb pie. Bread, eggs, condiments and more are also available. Open Monday-Saturday 8 am-5:30 pm
