Ramsey Farmer's Market This year-round market often brings in the crowds with its wide-ranging vendors plus special events that happen during the summer and fall season. Look for a variety of goodies to fill your home with from Anita's Guacamole, Meredith's Bakery, Pie Eyed Bar Pies, Claremont Distillery and Valley Shepherd Creamery to name a few. River Vale Farmer's Market Certain sellers change weekly at the River Vale Farmer's Market, but you can generally expect a variety of vendors including an ice cream truck, empanadas, pizzas, rice balls, pies and much more. Don't miss their opening day on May 26th, which will bring delicious and talented vendors including Picklelicious, Empanada Lady, Sawdust Unlimited and Strawberry Lembeck Jewelry, plust some fun for the kids. Open Thursdays 1-6 pm.
Westfield Garden State Plaza Sunday Farmer's Market New to the farmer's market scene this year, GSP may just be your new go-to for food and fun on Sundays. Expect a number of rotating vendors such as Jersey Girl Pickles, Spoon Me Soups and Dacha Fermented Veggies; Food Trucks such as Rolling Yatai and Mama Lou's BBQ Food Truck; plus live music, bounce houses, face painting and a game trailer to keep the whole family happy. Open Sundays 9 am-2 pm.
Closter Farm Market Straight from the farm to your kitchen, Closter Farm offers fresh picked produce including heirloom tomatoes, carrots, beans, apples, eggplant and much more for healthy eating. Plus, all of their chicken, beef and pork is organic and pasture-raised, so you know you're consuming only the finest meat products without antibiotics or any added hormones. Open Thursdays-Sunday 10 am-2 pm.
Rutherford Farmer's Market At the start of summer, Rutherford is bringing back its annual farmer's market for the 25th season. Shop vendors such as Sy Griskonis Farm, offering a variety of fresh produce, and Dr. Pickle's pickle and brine cured treats, with more options to be added weekly. Open Wednesdays 11 am-4 pm starting July 6 and Saturdays 8 am-2 pm starting July 9.
Abma’s Farm Market Of course we love to visit the barnyard animals on this farm, but stop into the farm market for an equally enjoyable treat. Stock your produce drawer with fresh homegrown fruits and vegetables; dig into their kitchen specials such as quiches (courtesy of Abma’s chickens) and buddha bowls; and be sure to snag one of their fresh baked desserts such as cheesecake and strawberry rhubarb pie. Bread, eggs, condiments and more are also available. Open Monday-Saturday 9 am-5:30 pm
Teaneck Farmer's Market Now open in Teaneck, the weekly farmer's market is serving up a range of food that can be served fresh or can be frozen to give you something to look forward to. Stock up on Anthi's Greek Specialties, The Cheese Guy, The Original Empanada Factory, Spoon Me Soup, Joey's Market Place breads and much more produce and baked goods at Bergen's longest running market. With a number of vendors available for pre-order and pickup (think: your afternoon coffee pick-me-up), it makes your shopping adventures even more efficient. Open Thursdays 12-6 pm.
Harrington Park Farmer's Market Although the Harrington Park market doesn't open until mid-August, the quality vendors to shop are worth the wait. Look for produce from Stokes Farm, baked goods from The Cake Fairy, Italian Specialties from Paolo's Kitchen, Latin Dragons' Asian-Latin Fusion Food Truck, beauty products from Heaven Scent Beauty, totes and accessories from WEBE Bags and much more. Opens Sunday August 14.
