Saddle River Day School Welcomes the Littlest Learners with New Pre-K 3s Program [dedicated]

Schools  /

Let’s be real. In all the many years you will be sending your child off to school, there will be at least a few days when they don’t want to go. On those rare days, it will be so much easier to get them out the door if they have an underlying love of school and a passion for learning. That’s where Saddle River Day School comes in. Their brand new Pre-K 3’s class, beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, will start your littlest learner off on the right foot and set them up for a future of academic success.

Chris Lebovits, Assistant Head of the Lower and Middle Schools says it best, “It is my belief that positive early school experiences set the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. When a child comes to school each day excited to learn and engage in new experiences, it unleashes endless individual potential.”

The Saddle River Day School Early Childhood program is designed to meet the unique needs of young learners by encouraging them socially, emotionally and academically. Its developmentally appropriate curriculum recognizes each child as an individual, invites them to learn at their own pace, and instills the concept of collaborative learning. Students will benefit from a low student to teacher ratio that ensures they will receive the personal attention they need to thrive.

The Pre-K 3s program is constructed to be flexible according to the needs of your child and family. Full day or modified full day (3 full day, 2 half days) schedules are offered. Your child will spend their days playing games that encourage emergent language skills, taking nature walks around campus and working on skills that finesse their gross and fine motor skills. In the classroom, the foundations will be laid for active learning and critical thinking. As part of the SRDS community, your child will participate in special area classes such as science in the state-of-the-art lab and art in the art studio designed just for lower school learners. They will play on a playground that is “just their size” and explore a new language. Each day will bring discovery, camaraderie and a sense of purpose for your child.

If this sounds like the kind of educational experience you’d like for your child, please join the Admissions Staff for an Open House on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 am. You will learn more about the school, the program and the educators. For more information, please visit the website.
