Open House, Open Heart (dedicated)

Schools  /

There are a few things you want your daughter to get from her high school experience. The first, of course, is the academic knowledge and intellectual ability to succeed in college-level classes, and in every other aspect of their life. But you also want them to cultivate lifelong relationships with their peers and educators, participate in activities that are enriching and satisfying, and grow their confidence so they recognize that they have important contributions to make to society as a whole. All of this is part of the faith-filled educational experience young women receive at Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA), located in Township of Washington, New Jersey.

For sixty-five years, IHA has been cultivating the traditional values of the Catholic Church and upholding exceptional college preparatory standards to offer its students a unique and unmatched private educational experience. IHA is known for its academic excellence, athletic competition, creative expression, and Christian service. More than 11,000 incredible women proudly call themselves IHA alumnae.

If your daughter is interested in joining this lifelong sisterhood of supportive, encouraging women, register for one of IHA’s upcoming Fall Open Houses, to be held on Sunday, October 20, and Thursday, October 24. During the Open House, you will be able to tour the campus with a student ambassador; meet teachers, administrators, directors, students, and coaches; learn about the admissions process, including the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test (HSPT); and have the opportunity to ask questions about curriculum, financial aid, transportation, and much more.

Additionally, register your daughter to visit IHA as a Blue Eagle for the Day. Visiting IHA during the academic day is the best way to get a feel for the school through the eyes of a student. Seeing the school community in action is often what leads many young women to decide that Immaculate Heart is the best place for them.

Blue Eagles for the Day are paired up with a current student and will attend classes and lunch in order to really experience what it’s like to be a student at IHA. Shadow days for eighth graders run from September through February. Shadow days for seventh graders begin in March and run through the end of the school year. Blue Eagle for the Day typically starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Visitors may request a current student with whom they wish to spend the day, or they will be paired up with a Student Ambassador. To learn more about the Blue Eagle for the Day program, please contact Ms. Lauren Rhein ’09 via email at [email protected]. To register your daughter, please click here.

Your daughter deserves the very best for her high school experience. This is what the committed educators and administrators seek to offer every student at IHA. They’re looking forward to meeting your family and extending you a warm welcome @theheart.
