As parents, we all know how challenging the last two years have been. While we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with an end of the pandemic in sight, so many of us are eager to give our little ones a memorable and joyful summer learning experience. In addition to their many year-round offerings for families with young children, The Village Edgewater, a supportive and nurturing Montessori-styled early learning center, has structured a special summer camp to help transition little ones into a school-like setting and slowly immerse them into social interaction with other littles of littles.
Keep your child engaged all summer long at their Summer Camp Learn & Grow Program for ages 17 months to 5 years. The summer camp options include the Learn & Grow Summer Camp for ages 17 months-33 months, and 3-5 years. During the day, campers will engage in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, storytimes and small-group instruction, all of which center around language arts and STEM skills. The Little Explorers' Outdoor Summer Camp takes kids outside on guided walks where they will learn about ecosystems and aquatic life, and have fun participating in scavenger hunts, flower pressing and much more. Camps run in two sessions, from June 27-July 29 and August 2-September 2.
In addition to their summer camp, The Village offers additional ways for families to have fun. For parents looking for a way for little ones to play with friends in an interactive space, The Village is currently hosting safe private play sessions, which lets you reserve the play space for one hour, with up to six guests, for only $40. Your tot will enjoy the time among friends, while developing social skills through play and interaction with their sustainable, eco-friendly toys and activities. Plus, parents can enjoy the time among friends, too, by relaxing in the Village Cafe, which serves specialty coffee drinks and a healthy selection of light bites including beet hummus and avocado toast. Post-playtime, check out their boutique retail store, curated by moms with a focus on unique and sustainable products.
For more structured activities, The Village Edgewater offers a variety of hands-on classes, ranging from academic-focused learning pods to creative classes like art and dance, sensory-based, mini & me, and storytime & crafts. Children up to age 5 develop skills from certified teachers while socializing with friends, and developing an early love of learning. Age-appropriate classes focus on cooperative learning activities, academics and differentiated learning. Pods can accommodate up to six children to ensure individualized attention.
Does your child have a birthday coming up? Birthday parties at The Village Edgewater give you and your guests access to two floors -- the downstairs play space and cafe, and the upstairs creativity studio. Each party will have a designated party host who keeps children engaged with activities such as arts & crafts, a bubble dance party and much more. Parties start at $300, with four packages to choose from, so you can customize to your needs.
This all-in-one space is ready to welcome you and your child for a day (or more!) of educational fun.
