Learn Boldly at Dwight-Englewood D-E 360° Summer Camp [dedicated]

Camps  /

Summer is the perfect time for kids to explore something new. Without homework and with a (hopefully) slower pace, kids have the opportunity and the brain space to discover and pursue new interests and passions, or to deepen their knowledge in something they already enjoy. Whichever path your child chooses, you can be assured that they will learn boldly at the Dwight-Englewood School D-E 360° Summer Connections day camp and enrichment programs.

This year the theme for the Discoveries, Adventures & Junior Summer Day Camp for D-E 360° Summer Connections youngest campers is “Keys: Opening Doorways to new worlds. Campers from preschool age (age 3) through 4th grade (as of September 2019) will explore our world in the past, present and future, the natural world, space and the worlds of fantasy. Through hands-on learning, on- campus and off-campus field trips and a curriculum that always has an eye toward math, science and the arts, these campers will discover the keys that open their knowledge of different worlds. Pre- and aftercare are available and lunch and snacks are provided for all full-day campers.

For students in Grades 5 and up (as of September 2019), the D-E 360° Summer Connections Enrichment program gives kids an opportunity to try something new or just learn more about an interest or hobby. Enrichment campers can pick arts, athletics, business, cooking, STEM and other 1-week courses. They will have the opportunity, among other things, to compete in a balloon rocket car STEM competition, read and discuss a favorite book, learn to cheerlead, participate in a summer-long junior chef series, or learn the basics of video production.

D-E 360° Summer Connections also offers Immersive Programs that provide full-day experiential learning for students in grades 2 through 12 and Academic/Scholars Programs. Campers will closely collaborate with master level faculty as well as peers who are equally passionate about the topic in immersive programs that generally range from one to three weeks in length. This is where kids can delve deeper into coding, entrepreneurship, or hone their theater chops. Academic Enrichment for grades 5 through 9, a Scholars program for high school students, and athletic training are also available.
