With all that singing, dancing, improvising, and acting going on in your house these days – even the neighbors know your child has talent. The question is … how can you channel all that creative energy into something truly stage worthy?
Summer’s the perfect time to explore new forms and gain new skills, and Kaplen JCC on the Palisades offers something for every budding performer:
Summer Dance Intensive (ages 6 – 16) explores all the latest crazes and new dance forms. Step up your dancer’s skill level with ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, musical theater, acrobatics, salsa, and even ballroom.

Center Stage Musical Theater Camp (for kids entering grades 4 – 9) allows students of all levels to perform in a Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway-style musical with sets, costumes, big musical numbers, and solos for those who want them. Workshops include acting, improvisation, stage combat, movement and singing, as well as a well-deserved end-of-the-day swim.
Pre-camp orientation and placement day: Sunday, June 22
Session I: June 27 - July 11, 9:30am - 4:30pm, performance on July 13
Session II: July 14 - July 25, 9:30am to 4:30pm, performance on July 27
BergenPAC-JCC Performance Summer Intensive (ages 9 - 17) is an exciting program for intermediate to advanced-level students that culminates in a cabaret-style performance that features favorite numbers from Broadway musicals, sketch comedy, short scenes and popular rock songs as well as new pieces, directed by Broadway music director/accompanist Joseph A. Baker (Wicked, Shrek, The Lion King; Little Shop of Horrors). Performances will be held in NYC and at BergenPAC’s Cabaret Space.
