The long awaited day for witches, wizards and muggles alike has finally arrived. That’s right, the Harry Potter flagship store in the Flatiron building in NYC has landed (not by broomstick), and is opening its doors to the public on June 3. As the first official Harry Potter flagship store, visitors will be able to make their way through over 21,000 square feet of collectibles, clothing, souvenirs and wands, plus sweets and drinks like chocolate frogs and Butterbeer/Butterbeer Ice Cream.
When entering the store, you will be greeted by a model of Fawkes the Phoenix. Make your way through the expansive space to discover magical creature plushes, Every Flavor Beans and more than 50 character wands and robes, with personalization available. Be sure to visit the Griffin that guards Dumbledore’s office, the Ministry of Magic phonebooth or step inside Hagrid’s boots for Insta-worthy shots.
Make your way back during the summer when virtual reality experiences open to the public, including Chaos at Hogwarts and Wizards Take Flight, where you become a part of the wizarding adventure. Tip before you go: Use the Harry Potter Fan Club app to scan Enchanted Keys that bring some more magic to life as your make your way around the store.
