They’ve met your kid at Neil Klatskin Day Camp at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. Okay, not exactly your kid, but they’ve met kids just like yours. Which is why, when you look at all the options NKDC has for summer camp this year, you’re sure to find enough to keep your kid busy, engaged, active and happy all summer long. And for the first time ever, this applies to every child in the community. New this year, all camps are open to the entire community, JCC membership is not required.
Whether your child is a scientist, dancer, actor, athlete, artist, comedian, or a combination of several of the above, there is a camp for them at Neil Klatskin Summer Camps. Campers preschool through kindergarten will follow a traditional Day Camp schedule with head counselors who are certified educators, a classroom home base for the littlest ones, Red Cross swim lessons, weekly special activities, and a Hebrew immersion option. Starting in grade 3, campers can choose their own adventure by picking from specialty camps that fit their interests, or camps that will encourage them to try something new including Fine Arts, Big Idea Hi-Tech, Sports Camp Plus, Dance, Science, and Theatre.
All campers have access to the stunning 21-acre campus, 3 pools, sprinkler park, tennis courts, sports fields, basketball courts and challenge course with zip line- and as if that weren't enough to choose from, the camp keeps it even more exciting with weekly special events and theme days. On the hottest summer day, air-conditioned classrooms and gymnasiums provide relief.
Parents will get a little relief too because all JCC camps are all-inclusive, providing lunch, snacks and towel service – all you need to do is send your camper out the door with a bathing suit and a smile. Extended day and transportation options are available, and since NKDC is local, your child will spend less time on the bus and more time making summer memories.
Register for any camp by March 31 and save $25/week (Restrictions apply. Call for details). Day camps are offered for children ages 3 through 2nd grade, Specialty camps are offered for children in grades 3 and up. Camps run from June 24 – August 16, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
