Saying that one of your new year's resolutions is "to work out more" feels kind of, well, lame, considering it's the same resolution as just about everyone else you know. So here's an idea: Make it "to enjoy working out more" instead. That means, rather than dragging yourself to the gym to log a mind-numbing 45 minutes on the elliptical machine, you'll actually find some fun and interesting ways to get your exercise in and want to keep going all year long. (Imagine that!) Here are four new studios to get you started in 2016.
Body Burn Barre in Tenafly
Based on basic Barre principles, Body Burn is truly a total body sculpting class that targets every muscle group to transform your physique by creating elongated, lean, strong, and toned muscles in just 45 minutes. (Yes, please!) And the best part about this new studio opened by rockstar instructors Hillary Welisch and Michelle Zevi? No two classes are ever the same as they constantly mix things up by incorporating strength training, intervals of cardio, core strengthening, and stretching. That means that if you decide to commit to going several times a week, you won't ever find yourself bored. The perfect antidote to the winter blahs.

Sweat in Glen Rock
Taking indoor cycling to the next level, the 2,400-square-foot studio, slated to open in March, has brought on cycle director Gianna Amato to put together a butt-kicking team of instructors guaranteed to keep students motivated, energized, and yes, sweating through cycling classes (including "video spin," an especially fun class where students cycle along to high-energy music videos). The equipment will be state-of-the-art too, with everyone cycling on Schwinn AC Performance Plus Carbon Blue cycles with upgraded power consoles to track watts, calories, and RPMs while you ride. Throw onsite child care, showers, and a retail shop into the mix, and this place is sure to be your new go-to cycling spot.

Corefire Pilates coming to Ridgewood in early 2016
This beloved Montclair studio, which the NY Times calls “Pilates on Crack”, is opening up a Bergen County location. Here, instructors teach the Lagree Fitness Method, a sweat-inducing mix of Pilates, cardio, and resistance using the Megaformer, a super-cool updated version of the old Pilates reformer machine you've probably used before. The result? A class that's designed to lengthen, tone, and challenge your whole body, while burning – hold on to your yoga pants – a whopping 500 calories during intense, 45-minute sessions.
Title Boxing Club in Hackensack
Ready to feel fit and kind of bad-ass at the same time? Then try a boxing workout that starts with some cardio and stretching and then gets into a full half hour on the bag, where you'll learn basic boxing combinations while burning tons of calories before cooling down with floor work and toning exercises. Trust us, punching something as hard as you can is about as satisfying as it gets. To mix things up, try a kickboxing class, a personal training session, or push yourself to your limit with a power hour where professional boxers lead you through the intense hour-long sequences of exercises. C'mon, this is your year.
