Twenty years from now, no child is going to fondly remember the summer they spent beating every single level of a video game, no matter how much they beg to be able to do just that right now. So, give them a summer to remember at YWCamp@Mahwah and YWCamp@Dumont in Bergen County, New Jersey this summer.
Located at 200 Midvale Mountain Road in Mahwah, New Jersey, and running from Monday, June 24th through Friday, August 23rd, from 8:30am – 5:00pm daily, YWCamp@Mahwah gives children ages 5-12 the perfect mix of mental and physical activities to engage and inspire. YW Mahwah campers swim in a natural lake with swimming dependent on the weather. Other activities include archery, boating, creative expressions, STEM activities, and yoga & mindfulness.
At YWCamp@Dumont, located at Grant Elementary School, 100 Grant Avenue, Dumont, campers ages 5-12 will participate in STEM activities and yoga & mindfulness. Camp at the Dumont location will run from Monday, June 24th – Friday, July 26th from 8:30am – 5:00pm.
YWCA camps are the ideal place to make new friends, develop new skills, and build self-confidence. Two additional specialty camp programs reinforce these objectives: the GEN Camp at YWCamp@Mahwah provides STEM-based learning opportunities that encourage empowerment, leadership, and communication skills in girls and those identifying as girls, ages 9-12. GEN Camp will be offered the week of July 29th and again the week of August 5th. At both the Dumont and the Mahwah locations, teens are invited to apply for the YWCA Northern New Jersey LIT (Leaders In Training) program. The LIT program is the perfect opportunity for teens to develop leadership skills and is specifically designed to train students who are ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
All YWCA camp programs are American Camp Association accredited and provide families with a high-quality summer camp experience, with a flexible schedule, at an intentionally affordable price for children 5-12 years old. All campers must be 5 years old prior to the start of camp. For more information or to register for camp please visit the website or email [email protected]. Then get ready to give your children the epic summer adventures they’ll thank you for (and tell their kids about one day).
