Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Opens in Westwood, NJ

Along with kids having a blast a camp, the ability to host large outdoor gatherings with friends, and days spent on the beach, one of the best parts about summer is the universal acceptance to eat ice cream basically as much as possible. Though there's no shortage of ice creams shops in Bergen County, there's always room for more. If you're looking to change up your normal rotation of creamy spots, check out Bruster's Real Ice Cream, which just opened is doors in downtown Westwood.

The small-batch, homemade tasty frozen treats are made fresh in-store every day, and you'll find a regular change of its 24 flavors on the menu (out of a whopping 150 on rotation) to surprise you at every visit. Some of the premium ice cream options include Birthday Cake, Caramel Brownie Batter, Butter Pecan, Key Lime Pie, Cotton Candy Explosion, Death by Chocolate, White Turtle, and their newest Cookie Jar Crunch, along with old faithfuls like Chocolate, Vanilla, Pistachio, Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Plus, keep your kitchen packed by stocking up on their to-go pints, quarts, and half-gallons.

You can also sink your teeth into ice or sherbert flavors like Blue Pop Ice, Pina Colada Sherbert, and Mango Dragon Fruit Sorbet, or for those who want a vegan version of the creamy delight, opt for one of the non-dairy flavors like Oreo Cookies N Cream or Mint Chocolate Chip, both made with oat milk. If you want to get creative with your order, grab one of the ice cream blasts, which mix in candies and toppings like brownies bites and Twix for a smooth treat. Or, really splurge and enjoy a sundae like the Apple Dumpling, Hot Fudge Brownie, Kid's Dirt Sundae, the Turtle, and more.

Have a birthday or special occasion coming up? Customize one of Bruster's cakes by choosing your fave ice cream flavor, gooey layer (think: butterscotch, fudge, peanut butter, and marshmallow), and pick your cake flavor. Or, DIY your own pie by creating a crust and adding in the ice cream after.

For easy ordering, you can just roll up to the window and wait to grab your treat. And with the scorching temps, it's as good a time as ever to give yourself a tiny pleasure.
