Bowlero in Fair Lawn Makes Bowling Great Again

There's been a lot of buzz here in Bergen County (and no it's not about #whobitbeyonce). On the contrary, this is news you can actually use: We’re getting our very first Bowlero this weekend!

Wait, all this hype over a bowling alley, you ask? Well, see that’s the point. While Brunswick Zone in Fair Lawn was previously your typical Formica-flanked bowling alley (but kinda vintage though right?), Bowlero is actually a cool destination you’ll want to go for date night, an evening out with the girls, or an after-work outing. The place has gotten a stylish refresh with 32 lanes, a sports bar and lounge, billiards area, and a solid cocktail offering. The food menu, meanwhile, boasts bar fare with a twist. Think Naan flatbreads, honey-Sriracha wings, salt-and-vinegar fries, and fajita-style tacos in addition to the classic fare your kids are still gonna want like mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and that bowling staple, the hot dog.

And speaking of kids, there’s a slew of birthday packages you can book online (!) that include everything from an ice cream station to arcade credits for each guest to a signable bowling pin as a keepsake. And there are plenty of party options for adults, too, and if you book your strike-heavy soiree in the next month, Bowlero is offering deals and discounts including a free bar upgrade, which is good since downing cheap tequila shots at the bowling alley never ends well ... but we’ll spare you the details.

Bowlero Fair Lawn, 22-22 Maple Ave., Fair Lawn. Sign up for a Bowlero’s grand opening party on March 31 here.
