If you’re like us and running out of space on the fridge to display your kids’ latest masterpieces, there’s an easy fix: Just make sure that the next artistic creation your kids produce is something actually functional by bringing them over to Painting Pottery Café in Englewood NJ. Kids can choose any piece from the studio’s collection – from mugs to bowls to teapots – paint them with any colors and designs they like, and then let staffers fire it, ending up with a pretty piece to bring home. There’s also clay handbuilding, which lets participants mold and sculpt with cool clay, and even glassing fusing, in addition to old-fashioned canvas painting.
The 3,000-square-foot space is home to a main studio and three private rooms, perfect for birthday parties and group events (think work functions, Girl Scout outings, or bridal showers). Additionally, the studio hosts Mommy and Me workshops, an after-school program, movie nights, and hosts 2-hour adult classes on Thursday and Friday evenings at 6pm, which means you can make yourself your very own wine goblet during class and be sipping some Merlot from the thing just a few days later. Sounds like the perfect Friday night to us.
