Your weekend is about to get interesting. Like, very interesting. Like, your just-out-of-college-days interesting. There will be craft cocktails. And bacon-infused vodka. And steak—lots of it—served up right here in Englewood Cliffs by culinary rock star (and Iron Chef) Marc Forgione. Brace yourself, because BIG things are going down tomorrow night at the opening of American Cut Bar & Grill.
Offering a “unique and modern take on classic American dishes in a contemporary, casual ambience,” this new incarnation of American Cut serves up much of the same show-stopping surf-and-turf fare that earned it the title of “#1 Steakhouse in America” by Fox News—including Forgione’s signature Chili Lobster, the “OG” 1924 Hotel Caesar salad, and the 52-oz. Porterhouse, flambé table-side in bone marrow maitre’d butter—along with the not-so-obvious like fire pits ready for warmer day loitering.
Lunch options will cater to slightly smaller appetites with options like Crab Cakes, a Pastrami Spiced Rib-Eye sandwich, various bar snacks, and American Cut’s infamous “in-house” burger.
If you can’t tell by now that this place isn’t your everyday meat-and-potatoes establishment, wait until you see the dining area: 10,000 square feet of architectural wonder spread over two levels, including private dining spaces, a luxe craft cocktail lounge (go for the Plank Smoked Old Fashioned), an elegant outdoor terrace, and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Get ready to swoon. This is gonna be one sexy steakhouse.
