Things to Do in Bergen County Week of October 5

Weekly Events  /
We rounded up the best things to do in Bergen County and beyond on our weekend PLAYlist!

Sponsored Post: Raising women leaders of tomorrow means inspiring them to be socially aware today. At Immaculate Heart Academy, a college preparatory high school for young women, the interests and needs of women in the areas of academics, spirituality, the arts, athletics, and social interaction drive the programs offered. The emotional and psychological development of young women is fostered by the positive, supportive, and affirming attitudes of the administration, faculty, and staff. See if you belong @theheart by visiting during one of their Fall Open Houses: Oct. 15 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Nov. 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Open Houses offer visitors an opportunity to tour the building with student Eagle Ambassadors; learn about IHA's college prep curriculum; meet students, teachers, staff, and coaches; and witness first-hand the IHA spirit. Visit their website here for more information.

Sponsored Post: What if we told you that you could improve cardiovascular endurance, increase strength, boost your balance and even become a bit more mindful with a 45-minute workout? No, we’re not kidding. It’s called Corefire – a studio that first opened in 2014 in Upper Montclair – and pairs the Lagree Fitness method, which effectively combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, core and flexibility training, with the Megaformer, a moving carriage with springs and pulleys that the owners discovered while living on the West Coast. The result is a zero-impact, total-body strength-training workout that gets personalized to your needs and ability during classes of just 11 people under the guidance of super knowledgeable and helpful coaches. Bergen Mama readers who are new clients will get a free week of unlimited sessions and 20 percent off your first purchase after that. The deal expires December 1.  (Corefire, 195 South Maple Ave, Ridgewood, NJ)
