Because this first week back to school wasn’t fun enough.


What: Garden State Plaza Fashion’s Night Out
Why: Because shopping + drinks + free stuff = happiness
When: Friday, September 10th 6pm-9pm


What:  The Annual Ridgewood Street Fair
Why: Because Mama can check out the 140 Arts and Crafts exhibitors while the kiddies play in bouncy castles, get their faces painted and visit the petting zoo
When: Sunday, September 12th 12-5pm (Rain Date September 19th)


What: Zerbini Family Circus under the Big Top
Why: Camels in Cresskill?  We need to see this first hand.
When: Sunday, September 12th Two shows; 3pm and 5:30pm
Where: Merritt School Field
How Much:  Advance tickets available at Cresskill Borough Hall or Hudson Drug ($10/ticket), or at the door on the day of the event ($10/child and $15/adult)


What: The Edgewater Arts and Music Festival
Why: Because taking up a craft like photography or glass blowing never looked so cool.
When: Sunday September 12th 12-5pm (Rain Date September 19th)
Where: Edgewater Commons Shopping Center


What: Dumont’s Annual Dumont Day Extravaganza
Why: Because you can run the 5K in the morning and then gobble up all the treats at the after-party with no guilt
When: Saturday September 11th (Run starts at 8am, Festivities from 10am-6pm)
Where: Dumont High School and Memorial Field


If you’re heading to the city……

What: Westside County Fair
Why: Because your kids will love the carnival rides, games and petting zoo and you will love the greenmarket, all set on the picturesque Hudson River.  Don’t miss the “Green Acre” environmental corner where kids can take part in hands-on activities to learn about environmental awareness.
Cost: Free!
Where: Riverside Park on the Hudson between West 59th-72nd Streets
When: Sunday September 12th 1-6pm
