Bigger is better, right? Don’t answer that. It’s not really a question. We really just want to prepare you for the madness you are about to witness. This water slide is not your average slip-n-slide, but it’s also not really a water slide. It’s the GIANT love child of the two. And it’s coming to Goshen, NY (a quick drive north from us) on August 5.
Here’s the deal: The Slide the City people lay down pads. Then they lay down the slide. Then they supply the water. People buy tickets and come slide (and slide and slide and slide). How long is the slide exactly? I dunno. But look at those pictures! It’s long. I mean, what do you do on a slide that long? Paint your nails? Fold laundry? Should I bring a book? No, I shouldn’t.
What you should do is buy tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/slide-the-city-goshen-852017-tickets-32443279723. Three-slide packages are $25 and all-day passes are $58. How many slides could you fit into a day? There’s only one way to find out.
So, wear your suit and bring your flip-flops because you’ll have to walk back and, girl, that pavement is HOT. Then enjoy being super-silly with the slippery little salmon that live in your house. But only if they’re at least 5 years old and 46 inches tall. When you’ve had your fill, you can drive home with the kiddos crashed out in the back seat—summer at its finest.
