The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park: Everything You Need To Know

Day Trips  /

As much as we look forward to weekends, they can often be filled with monotony -- catching up on laundry, shuttling the kids to sports, zoning out to Netflix ... well, you know. But certain. weekends come ready-made with something fun, different, and a little luxe. Good news: One is just around the corner. Mark your calendar for June 2 when the 11th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will once again grace us with its glamour at Liberty State Park.

As always, the swanky event will be studded with celebs, flowing with Veuve, and oozing with Instagrammable moments. You can also expect some of the city’s most fabled food trucks, lots of lawn games, and, of course, a fast-paced match led by polo star Nacho Figueras.  In terms of ticketing, you’ll need to buy them ahead of time and have a few different options. A general admission ticket starts at $85 and will give you access event when the doors open at 11am (the match kicks off at 2) until it ends at 6pm. You can get early access for $145 (which comes with access to the first ferry from Manhattan at 10am or, for NJ locals, an earlier shuttle since private drop-offs aren’t allowed at the event). And if you really wanna go all baller that day, you can splurge on the $450 Rosé Garden ticket that promises an “exclusive and intimate” experience for guests including lounge seating, a gourmet lunchbox, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rose, and priority boarding for the ferry or shuttle.

All tix go on sale on April 26 (and Amex cardholders can snag their tix in the presale that's already in progress) and usually sell out ASAP. While they plan to release more GA tickets down the road the price will be going up (of course it will) so buy your tickets early and start picking out your hat even earlier ...
