The New Hunter for Target Collection is This Year’s Biggest Shopping Event

Fashion  /

Sure, April showers bring May flowers, but for us, they also bring the chance to pick up some rad rain boots in pretty, poppy colors. And this year we’re about to get a slew of new options thanks to a cool collaboration between our go-to big-box retailer Target and the fabled British bootmaker Hunter.

You can expect exclusive versions of Hunter’s signature tall rain boots along with shorter styles and lace-up versions for little ones. And, in addition to all those beautiful boots, Hunter for Target will include outerwear (there’s a cute little yellow rain jacket we spotted that we know will come in handy this year), backpacks, accessories, and housewares to get your place prepped for summer ranging from hammocks to sunshades. And the best part: nothing’s over $80, and most items clock in under $30. The collection is slated to hit shelves on Saturday April 14 but Redcard holders will snag early access to select items in exclusive colors on Target.com a week early.

The fact that the launch’s timing coincides with the start of festival season is no accident. According Alasdhair Willis, Hunter’s creative director, the brand has a strong connection to outdoor music fests and you’ll often spot boots and backpacks on concertgoers across the globe. Willis points to 2005 – when Kate Moss was snapped wearing a pair at Glastonbury – as Hunter’s most defining moment. Luckily, you don’t have to have supermodel money to get your pair at Target ...
