It's summertime (yay!), which means it's time to celebrate the sunniest season of the year with good friends — and of course, good food and drinks. If you're ready to venture out from your usual go-tos and try a different spot, The Four Leaves, which just opened on Kinderkamack Road in Park Ridge, is the perfect stop. The gastropub, whose name symbolizes the four elements of Hope, Faith, Love, and Luck, nailed the ideal combo of a delicious dining experience, a summer-ready handcrafted cocktail menu, and a good vibe.

With so many flavorful dishes on the menu, you'll want to come hungry. Choose from shareable appetizers like 4 Mushroom Toast, Red Braised Pork Riblets, Taco of the Day, or bites like Popcorn Chicken and Pretzel Bites. The main menu has a finely curated selection of sandwiches like the Wagyu Burger and Blackened Cod Wrap, along with entrees including Ricotta Cavatelli with pork fennel sausage, Alaskan Halibut, and Fish & Chips.

When you get thirsty, the drink menu is equally as impressive. Choose from creations like a Spritz 5.0 with strawberry-infused aperol, the Park Ridge Fizz with lime, fresh mint, and cucumber, and The Fifth Leaf with lemon and pineapple. There are plenty of beers and ciders on tap at all times, along with a wine list and coffee menu — both boozy options and classic cups. Non-alcoholic mocktails and drink options are always available, too.

The casual yet sophisticated atmosphere is what the Pascack Valley area has been missing. Find wood floors and an expansive wooden bar mixed with brick walls and plenty of seating to go around. The multi-floor gastropub is spacious for holding larger groups, and it's conveniently located in Park Ridge's bustling downtown area that's quickly expanding. Grab your favorite crew or bring the family (it's kid-friendly and has high chairs) to get out and enjoy summer at The Four Leaves.
