Sprinkler Parks, Pools and FUN at Neil Klatskin Day Camp at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades (dedicated)

Camps  /

Neil Klatskin Day Camp at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is one of those magical places that are never in its history had a single kid leave thinking, “Well, that was boring.” That’s because the camp, set on a 21-acre campus fills summer days with tons of activities, sports, and old-fashioned outdoor fun for campers age 3 to 14. There are three pools, a sprinkler park, tennis courts, athletic fields, basketball courts, and even a super-cool challenge course with a zip line.

While spots were once reserved exclusively for JCC members, for the first time in its history, the popular camp is now open to the public, making it easier than ever for children to take part in all the fun. (Woohoo!) That means both member and non-member kids now have access to all the offerings within Neil Klatskin Day Camp, a traditional camp for ages 3 through Grade 2, including Red Cross instructional swim and Hebrew immersion options. The Neil Klatskin Specialty Camps for Grade 3 and up include options in fine arts, science, Big Idea Hi-Tech, Sports Plus!, basketball and tennis, Dance Intensive, Center Stage Musical Theater, Broadway Showtime and even comedic cabaret. (We’re hoping that show’s open to parents.)

And it gets better. Camps are all-inclusive, providing daily swim, lunch, snacks, towel service, and access to transportation and extended care, so parents don’t have to worry about a thing while their kids are busy enjoying the great outdoors, learning new skills, making lifelong friends and exploring their interests in a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. Bonus! Families who register for camp before March 31st will receive $25 off per week. Double bonus: We hear campers end their fun-filled summers begging to return next year. Why doesn’t that ever happen after math tutoring ends? OK, don’t answer that.
