The Neil Klatskin Specialty Camps at the J are for campers grades 3+ who are interested in science, fine arts, coding, photography, robotics, 3D fashion design, dance, drama, sports and more. Your kid will get to dive deep into a few of these options or, with the new Day Camp Experience choice, they can opt for a more traditional day camp/multi-disciplinary option.

And also that they’re offered at the amazing Kaplen JCC on the Palisades facility so each camp features outdoor and swim time making it easy to get that summer experience along with their specialized enrichment time.
Additionally, all the camps at the J are all-inclusive which means lunch, snacks, and towels are thrown in. The J also offers transportation extended hours, a true rarity in the specialty camp landscape. The best part? Parents don’t have to make the hefty, multi-week time commitment of traditional summer day camps. Specialty camps at the J are mostly weekly so registration is flexible. Campers have the choice of mixing-and-matching options: exploring something unfamiliar, building skills in a brand new area of interest, or focusing on a passion. Parents get to pick the weeks that work for them, choose a week or 2 weeks if you just need to fill some time around a vaca or sleepaway camp, choose up to 10 weeks if you need to keep your camper busy for the entire summer.
Membership at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is required for all sports camps and for children under 10 years in art, dance, drama, science and Big Idea high tech camps. The JCC offers many membership options, including a camp family membership for $750. Family memberships give the whole family access to the fitness center, tennis and racquetball courts, indoor track, luxurious full-service spa, pools, classes and special events offered at the JCC (additional fees may apply).
