A not-so-long time ago (yesterday, perhaps) in a galaxy not so far, far away (your humble abode), there was a parent (you) having her life force sucked out by an over-stimulated child’s cry of “Mom, I’m bored!” It’s time to pack up your little shooting star and blast off for an out-of-this-world afternoon at the “Beyond Planet Earth” exhibition at the Liberty Science Center.
This immersive outer-space-themed exhibition is sure to have your kid over the moon with excitement. Full of interactive learning fun, “Beyond Planet Earth” uses super-cool holograms, realistic simulations, and “whoa, no way!” replicas of real-life space vehicles to let young explorers discover the history and future of human space travel.
PLUS, through September 1st, kids are invited to jump, climb, and crawl through TapeScape, a special exhibition featuring a replica of the original Gemini space craft and a massive wormhole-like climbing structure made from over eight miles of packing tape and squiggled with eye-popping LED lighting.
