At Palisades Country Day Camp, it’s all about fun. Campers will have the time of their lives at Bergen County’s Best Summer Day Camp as they learn through experience and play.
One of the best things about summer is the time spent at the pool. At PCDC, campers will get to spend that time in one of three (3) heated swimming pools, or they can splash around in one of the three (3) heated wading pools. The best part? You don’t have to wash their towels. Towel service is included!
Campers will also get two 35-minute swim sessions per day – one instructional and one recreational. At PCDC, your child’s safety is top priority so the swim program is modeled after the Red Cross “Learn to Swim” Program and lessons are taught by Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards. Lessons are taught in small groups so your child will receive tailored instruction and lots of individualized attention. Private swim lessons for campers and non-campers are also available.
What would camp be without electives that engage, instruct and inspire? Palisades Country Day Camp is run by educators and the electives offered will open your child’s mind and keep their hands busy. Electives include:
- Woodworking in the brand new woodworking cabana
- Rockettes Workshop led by a former NYC Radio City Rockette
- Recycled Arts in which eco-friendly kids reduce, reuse and reinvent
- Perfect Pets which introduces a new pet to campers every day
- Rocket Science for campers with a scientific, creative mind
- Emote Dance which invites campers to express themselves through unique dance moves
- Broadway Musical featuring the songs of The Greatest Showman
Other benefits your child will enjoy include a magnificent playground, a sports field and an art pavilion. To make things easier for parents, the program is all-inclusive with snacks and a hot lunch included in the tuition and transportation available to and from selected Bergen County towns. Families are also able to select anywhere from a 4- to 8-week program with flexible scheduling to accommodate family summer schedules. PCDC camp will run from Monday, June 24th through Friday, August 16th and is open to children ages 18 months through 9 years.
