Listen, our kids live a pretty good life. And many of us have probably thought, at least once, maybe even once a day, that we’d like to have our kids’ lives (without the social drama and homework, of course!) Well, now’s our chance. As you know, the Neil Klatskin Summer Day Camp at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is a great place for kids to spend the summer. But what you might not know, is Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is also a terrific place for their families to spend the summer.
The JCC’s Neil Klatskin Summer camps include day camps for kids ages 3-7 years and then specialty camps for kids ages 8 and up. Day camp includes Red Cross instructional swim and Hebrew immersion offerings. Specialty camps include choices in fine arts, traditional camp, STEM, Big Idea Hi-Tech, Sports Plus!, dance intensives, Center Stage Musical Theater, Broadway Showtime, and comedic cabaret. All camps run 9 am – 4 pm, and includes lunch, snacks, and towel service! Extended day and bussing are available as add-ons.
Summer camp is held on the beautiful JCC campus with access to all the amenities the facility offers. And this is where the parents get to play! Because while your kids are having the time of their lives at camp, you have the opportunity to have a summer membership at the JCC. You can take advantage of the gym, hang out at the indoor and outdoor pool complex, play a little tennis, pick up a game of basketball, head to the spa for some well-deserved relaxation, all while sticking close to your kiddos and indulging in a little summer fun yourself! This option is available only to camp families for $250/family for new members and $750/family for returning members. Summer memberships run from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Plus, for the first time, this year all JCC summer camps are open to the public. So even if you aren’t a Kaplen JCC member, your kids will still have access to the camp that has been described by your fellow parents as, “hands down, the best camp in the area!”
