Have you found yourself knee-deep in pumpkins, corn mazes and apple cider donuts lately? While we love pumpkin spice and everything nice for fall, sometimes it's helpful to offer some variety to your family. The good news is there are plenty of fall festivities outside of the typical Halloween-themes and hayrides. Authentic Japanese Restaurant Jugemu, which opened in May in Cresskill, is introducing some new ideas to mix up the monotony.
Aiming to celebrate Japanese culture while exposing younger kids to new, more adventurous foods, Jugemu is hosting an engaging event this fall that the whole family can enjoy. "These events are designed to introduce a bit of Japanese culture to our guests and their families, while incorporating a little fun while dining," said founder Masa Fukano.
Jugemu will welcome guests on November 6th for its Temaki Sushi (Handroll) Party. In addition to their regular menu items, Jugemu is offering create-your-own handrolls where you play sushi chef for the day and pick the filling of your choice. Traditional and non-traditional fillings will be available, plus a fun atmosphere. The event is first come first served, so get in early as space is sure to fill up. Plus, look out for a special takeout menu exclusively for Christmas so you can eat well over the holidays.
Can't make it to the restaurant? Try out Masa Fukano's new food truck, Rolling Yatai, where you can sink your teeth into authentic Japanese eats anytime, anywhere. Find them at food festivals or reserve for your next gathering for a mouth-watering menu (think: their signature Ramen or pan fried homemade stick dumplings) that all your guests can enjoy.
