Summer came and went, but in the middle of it all, there were a variety of restaurants, bakeries, and more delicious spots that opened their doors in Bergen County to tickle the tastebuds. If you didn't have time to check them all out, early fall is the perfect time to enjoy new bites while the weather's still on your side.

Whether you're craving a sweet treat or want a savory dish so you can put away the dishes in your own home, we rounded up recent summer openings in Bergen County, ICYMI.

 

Crumbl The famous cookie shop's first Bergen County location recently opened at Bergen Town Center in Paramus, bringing its national gourmet treats to North Jersey. Cookie flavors include Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk, Strawberry Shortcake, Churro, Triple Chocolate Chip, and a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice-inspired Afterlife two-tiered chocolate. Also lookout for the grand opening in Montvale happening on October 10.

Olive Tree For a taste of Mediterranean cusine, head to Olive Tree, which fully captures its flavors. Choose from entrees like kebabs, seafood dishes like bronzino, and authentic appetizers including babaghanoush and atom (spicy yogurt dip). Olive Tree also offers a special lunch menu in its casual, inviting setting.

LaNoma Italian Steakhouse When you're looking for a hearty meal in a sophisticated setting, head to LaNoma in Fort Lee. The menu is chock-full of flavor, with antipasti apps like filet mignon tartare and burrata, plus homemade pastas and entrees including pan seared scallops, New York strip, and a 16-ounce pork chop. The bar menu is just as impressive, filled with innovative signature cocktails. Book your rezzie or reserve their private room for a special event.

Spring House This restaurant-bar meets social club is serving up fresh pasta, fish, meat, and more, with gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu, too. Even better, it just opened the Lady Jules Garden Bar in time for alfresco-friendly early fall weather. The open, airy garden behind Spring House has bites like the Wagyu burger and garden sandwich with grilled veggies, plus house-made cocktails, a curated wine list, and canned beverages.

Schmakery's Another cookie spot to finish off your day is Schmakery's, which recently landed in Englewood after gaining huge popularity in its NYC Hell's Kitchen location. In-store, you can find original flavors like dulce de leche, yogi bare, sch'mores, sweet corn, lucky charmed, and turtle snaps, with a rotating menu that changes daily. The cookie spot also has cakes, breakfast bars, and brownies, too, so there's something for everyone.
