The only thing that could be better than a new dessert shop in Bergen County is one that knows sometimes, you need dessert as a full-blown meal, too. Guzzo's BakeHouse, opening in Haworth, has entered the chat. Serving brunch, lunch, one-of-a-kind baked goods and beyond, Guzzo's is offering in-dining and grab-n-go options to satisfy all your cravings and time limitations. The brainchild of lifelong baker Ralph Guzzo, who learned the craft from his father and grandfather, Guzzo's is the third of his creations, which include Delizioso Baker + Kitchen in Princeton and Belli Baci Bakery in Staten Island.
At Guzzo's, it's pretty much guaranteed that no one will leave hungry. To start the day, choose from a number of classic brunch items such as omelets, frittatas and avocado toast. Or, indulge your sweet tooth a bit with one of their unique brunch treats, such as cannoli pancakes, Reeses Pieces pancakes, cookie dough pancakes, apple pie french toast and nutella cream french toast, among other decadent options.
Lunch offers a more savory selection, with tuna salad or Mediterranean open faced sandwiches, pork & rabe or the stallion sandwich (think: roast pork, fried eggplant, prosciutto, sundried tomatoes and more), plus a number of salads with fresh ingredients. Little ones can choose off of their kids menu, which offers sweet birthday cake pancakes to the savory turkey blt.
If you've come for the pastries, you won't be dissapointed in their freshly baked selections, which will include vegan options, too. Satisfy your sweet tooth with rainbow crumb cakes and cupcakes, seasonal pies from pumpkin to apple, fruit tarts, chocolate mousse cups or for the ultimate chocolate lover, their signature triple threat oreo donut.
